My name is Michael Rivera and I am the CEO of East TN FACT. I have been working in the first responder field since I was sixteen years old. I am an Army Veteran and have used what I teach to prevent fellow veterans as well as first responders, firefighters, law enforcement officers, corrections officers and individuals in the healthcare sector from suiciding.
East TN FACT did not come about overnight, it has been formed over years of training and having been in the situations some of you have. We did not start this organization to become rich, we started this organization to help communities and organizations.
I strongly stand on the foundation of "We leave no man behind, no matter the circumstances or the odds". I hold a degree in Psychology focusing on mental health. I have received all of my first aid certification through the American Red Cross. And my suicide prevention and intervention certifications from Living Works, the world leader in suicide safe community training. I am a Licensed Pastor and Chaplain.
